Canadian Aeromedical Support Program (CASP)

The Canadian Aeromedical Support Program is comprised of our Alpa Canada Aeromedical Advisors (Physicians), Pilot Health consultant, Pilot aeromedical volunteers and Alpa Canada Benefits support staff. We are here to support our members with aeromedical health issues or concerns that affect your Transport Canada Civil Aviation medical.

The following are highlights of the program:
RESOURCES: Experienced aeromedical consultant physicians that can answer your medical questions and serve as a resource for individual pilot medical certification issues. It is important to note; this is not a replacement for your personal CAME.

CONVENIENCE: Get in touch with one of our CASP pilot volunteers through CASP@alpa.org Simply email your name and phone number and one of our volunteers will contact you then connect you to one of our Aeromedical resources. For your privacy please do not include any medical information in your email.

SUPPORT: If required, the program offers the opportunity for help in navigating your interaction with Transport Canada Civil Aviation Medicine. This is not designed to be a “fast track” process for your file.

PREVENTION: Development of initiatives for preventative health and enhancing the long-term well-being of our members.

We must emphasize that CASP is to support you with your Aeromedical concerns/questions, and it is NOT a walk-in clinic.
